Alvin Joseph Perry, 84, a longtime Turlock resident passed away on July 23, 2013. Alvin was born in Modesto and raised in Gustine. He served in both the United States Army and Air Force during and after the Korean War. He married Freda Penner in 1972, they had been married 41 years. He was a retired business owner of Turlock Radiator and Muffler. He belonged to the Lyons Club and VFW. He was an accomplished artist and was a member of the Valley Sun Catchers. He loved camping, fishing, painting and spending time with his family. Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Freda Perry, his three daughters Jennifer Perry of Thornton, Colorado, Gena Brenda of Turlock, California and Alicia Perry of Rancho Cordova, California; two granddaughters Elizabeth and Abigail Brenda, both of Turlock, Cal.ifornia: three brothers Bobby Perry. A military committal service will be held on Friday, September 6th at 10:30am at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California. A Celebration of Life for Alvin Joseph Perry will be held on September 6th at 2:00pm at 531 Ashland Avenue, Turlock, California, the home he shared with his loving wife, Freda.
