Antonio Gonçalves Laranjo, age 90, of Los Banos, California passed away on Monday December 3, 2018. He was born July 30, 1928 in Biscoitos, Terceira, Açores in Portugal to Jesuina Bettencourt and José Laranjo.

Antonio is survived by: son Paul Laranjo (Lynn) of Turlock; daughter Deolinda Picanço (Rodolfo) of Los Banos; daughter Fatima Machado (Pedro) of Hilmar; daughter Nellie Lazar (John) of Turlock; daughter Isabel Vaughn (Rex) of Turlock; brother José Bettencourt of Lisbon, Portugal. Mr. Laranjo also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews to honor his memory.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deolinda Laranjo in 2012, his son Antonio Gabriel Laranjo, daughters Lucia Maria Laranjo and Elia Maria Laranjo, sister Maria Evelina Gonçalves, and parents Jesuina Bettencourt and José Laranjo.

Antonio was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Los Banos.

A visitation for Mr. Antonio Gonçalves Laranjo will be held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. There will be a recitation of the rosary followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. He will be laid to rest after the services at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
