Visitation for Artur Luis Nunes, 65, of Delhi, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 21 and 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 22 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock. Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. on Jan. 21 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Ave., Turlock. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Jan. 22 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Ave., Turlock. Father Manuel Sousa will officiate. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.  
Artur Nunes was born in São Tome, Topo, São Jorge, Azores and died in Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
He was a dairyman for 40 years and a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church of Turlock. He was past president of I.D.E.S. Festa of Jerome, Idaho, past vice president of Buhl, Idaho I.D.E.S. Festa, and a member of Portuguese Hall of Wendell, Idaho. He helped with the healing of many people. He enjoyed dancing chamarita, watching his favorite soccer team, Benfica, fishing, playing cards and going to casinos.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Nunes of Delhi; sons, Arthur Manuel Nunes of Turlock and Jimmy Luis Nunes of Delhi; daughters, Mary Dolleen Castro of Turlock and Jessie Rose Olsen of Twin Falls, Idaho; brothers, João Nunes and Pedro Nunes, both of Turlock, and Joe Nunes of Stevinson; sisters, Maria Alice Teixeira, Beatriz Lourenco and Helen Ramon, all of Turlock; and grandchildren, Tasha Nunes Boston, Ashley Nunes, Victoria Nunes, Dylan Castro, Chelsea Castro, Brett Olsen, Chasity Castro, Joel Nunes and Bradie Olsen.
