Aurora Adelina Andre passed away at the age of 93 on March 19, 2017 in Modesto, CA.
Aurora was born on February 3, 1924 in Corvo, Azores to Jose Joaquin Freitas and Laurinda Felicidade Pedro.
She was raised in Corvo, Azores where she met her husband, Joaquin Luis Andre and later married.
In 1966, Aurora and Joaquin moved to California where they resided in the communities of Tracy and Manteca prior to their move to Turlock, CA in 1979.
A devoted housewife, she loved cooking and spending time with her family.
Aurora was an active member and devoted much of her time to Our Lady of the Assumption.
She is survived by her two daughters, Maria Bettencourt and Mary Vines; her two sons, Joe and John Andre; her eight grandkids and her eight great-grandkids. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Fri., Mar. 24, 2017 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, CA. Burial rites will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
