Bakhsish Kandola, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced.
He was born in India on April 2, 1917 to the late Bathan Singh and Name Kaur. He settled in Atwater 22 years ago and started his career in farming. He belonged to the Livingston Sikh Temple.
He leaves his eight children behind, Baksho Kaur, Gain Kaur, Kewal Singh, Bikram Singh, Gurpal Singh, Palo Kaur, Amarjit Singh and Harsinder Kaur; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 at Allen Mortuary. A Sikh funeral will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, also at Allen Mortuary. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
