Betty Patterson was born in Arkansas to Robert and Maggie Hood.  Betty passed away on June 10 in Turlock, CA with her family by her side.  She was the youngest of 13 children and her family came to the California Valley during the dust bowl years.  Betty married Ken Patterson in 1957 and together they shared 58 years of marriage and had two sons.  She was very active and enjoyed swimming in adult master competitive swim meets, playing on bowling leagues, tennis, bike riding and sewing.

Betty is survived by her husband Ken Patterson; son Troy Patterson; daughter in law Margo Patterson, all of Turlock, CA and sister Pauline Goodman in North Carolina.  Betty had five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Mark Patterson in September 2014.
