Mrs. Billie R. Shamblin, 75, passed away Monday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. She was born January 1935, in Arkansas to Burl and Bea McKay. She moved to Planada in 1945, before she settled in Turlock in the mid 1950s. She married Henry Shamblin in 1971, and became a homemaker.
Mrs. Shamblin is survived by her husband, Henry; son, Rickey Shamblin of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Desirea Shamblin-Carlson, Scott Shamblin and Lindsey Shamblin; three great grandchildren and with one on the way. She also leaves behind her sisters, Barbara Verratti of Turlock and Shirley Kennedy of Bakersfield.
Private services and burial will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
