Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m., with a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. for Carlos Torres Sandoval, 89, of Patterson, on July 18 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A gathering will be held at the Masonic Hall in Patterson following the service.
Carlos Torres Sandoval passed away on June 22 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Mr. Sandoval was born in Metcalf, Ariz. and was a resident of Patterson for 17 years. He previously resided in Sunnyvale, Calif. He was a janitor for the Cupertino School District for 35 years and he had previously worked as a farm laborer for Saich Brothers Orchards in Cupertino. He was a member of the Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostes Emanuel of Patterson and a former member of Mount Horeb Church of Sunnyvale and the New Life in Christ Church of Patterson. He loved reading the Bible and read five Bibles during his lifetime.  He accepted Jesus as his Saviour 40 years ago.
Mr. Sandoval is survived by his wife, Francisca Sandoval of Patterson; daughters, Linda Sandoval of Patterson, Cecilia Gonzalez of Mountain View, and Christina Mesa of Hayward; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters.
