Carol Alford, 70, of rural St. James, went to be with her Lord on Saturday. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 at Rolla Bible Church, 1801 E. 10th St., Rolla, Mo. All friends and family are invited to attend the service and remember her wonderful life.
Carol was born to Leland J. Hake and Margaret (Perry) Hake in 1939, in Turlock. She touched many lives as a wife, mother, grandmother, farmer, nursing home administrator, church volunteer, Women’s’ Club leader, 4-H leader, seamstress, Sunday school teacher, and faithful follower of Christ Jesus. She enjoyed all things related to church, family, decorating, sewing, flower arrangement, and reading.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas E. Alford, of St. James; brothers, Doug Hake of Denair and Bob Hake and his wife, Vicky, of Denair; sisters, Linda Stevenson of Hilmar and Sandy Niles and her husband, Allen, of Worland, Wyo.; sons, Clinton D. Alford of St. James, Ken Alford and his wife, Dulce, of Rolla, and Scott Alford and his wife, Mary, of St. James; and grandchildren, Kamron, Kyle and Jalyn Alford, all of St. James.
In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the Douglas-Morrison Cemetery or to Whispering Winds Bible Camp.
