Catherine Carson, age 68, of Turlock, went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 11, after a long illness.                 Cathy attended Livingston High School and Merced Jr. College.  She was employed by Miner’s Inn in Mariposa, Cingular and Cal Almond, Inc.  She was an active member of Sovereign Grace Community Church in Hughson.

She is survived by her son, John Carson , Las Vegas NV, and daughter, Jennie (Josh) Bower, Los Angeles.  She also leaves three grandsons, Charles (Ashley) Carson , Kurtis Carson, Jacob Bower and one great-grandaughter, Madison Carson.  Also surviving are her mother, Rubie LaBrague and sister Becky Soderstrom.  

Cathy was preceeded in death by her father, Harold Johnson, her brother, Charles Johnson and step-father Kenneth La Brague.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29 at Turlock Funeral Home (425 N. Soderquist Rd).  Burial will be private.
