HOLLAND, MICH.

Charles J. Kelley was born on Sept. 23, 1935 to Charles Kelley and Bessie Hall in Bennington, Vt. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2011 in Holland, Mich.
Charles Kelley married Evelyn Lancaster in 1955, and they had seven children. They relocated to California in 1968, and moved to Turlock in 1971. Charles worked as a chef in restaurants in Sonora, Oakdale and Modesto. The family moved to Michigan in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kelley; children, Mary (Larry) Blackburn, Charles J. Kelley, Lisa (Tim) Lacross-Kott, Timothy Kelley, David Kelley, Stephanie (Jesse) Sandoval and Scott Kelley; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Kelley; mother, Bessie Hall; and brother, James Kelley.
The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude to Janet Kesinger of Holland, Mich., who was a dear friend and caregiver to Charles during his illness.
No services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
