Christopher Weed passed away at his Stockton home on September 30, 2016.  He was born and raised in Turlock, CA, where he graduated from Turlock High School.  Chris received his BA in Business Administration/Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus (Turlock) and his MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University (Sacramento).  Chris was a well-known, respected CPA who positively impacted so many as a tax accountant and investment financial planner in Stockton for over forty years.  His professional memberships included the California Society of CPA’s, AICPA & NAPFA (Nat’l. Assn. of Professional Financial Advisors).

Since 1981, Chris was a member of Stockton Pacific Rotary, and lived his life by Rotary’s personal and professional philosophy.  He served as club President and Assistant District Governor.  Chris was passionate about baseball, demonstrating so as a season ticket holder and avid promoter of the Stockton Ports.  He was voted 2011 Fan of the Year, and was given the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch of the 2012 season.  As a member of the UOP Pacific Athletic Foundation, he attended men’s basketball games and fervently supported student athletics.  Chris was also a dedicated and caring Manx cat owner, displayed over the years with his involvement in cat shows and the Manx breeding program.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Shellie; brother, Roger Weed; sister, Marilyn Weed; nephew, Ryan Morgan; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Mason and his wife Francesca; and his devoted executive office assistant, Jill Gomez.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Nels and Elaine Weed, and his first wife, Michelle J. Weed. 

Chris was highly regarded for his honesty and integrity by his many clients, friends, Rotarians and business associates.  He was a wonderful man, lived a life full of joy and will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Central United Methodist Church in Stockton.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Stockton Pacific Rotary Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 8626, Stockton, CA 95208 (please note: in memory of Chris Weed).
