A funeral will be held for Clara David, 80, of Modesto, at 1 p.m. July 9 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
Clara was born in Turlock to David and Victoria Balisha. She graduated from Denair High School. Clara had a zest for life and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family and friends, who were always welcome in her home. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Clara enjoyed gardening, baking, traveling, and going to the movies with her friends. She also loved people, whether she just met them or knew them for many years. Her smile, love and strength will continue to live on forever through her girls.
Clara is survived by her daughters, Susan Davis, (Jeff Davis) and Dina McCall, (Ken McCall) both of Modesto; grandson, Jameson Davis of Modesto; sisters, Mildred Johns of San Jose and Alma Abraham of San Francisco; and many nieces and nephews. She was also Nana to Shawn, Evan, A.J, and Delaney.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard David, who she loved and missed for the past 34 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents, David and Victoria Balisha; and siblings, Margaret and Clarence Balisha.
