Born in Glenwood, Iowa on Jan. 18, 1931, Dale Edwin Snider died at his home in Roseville on June 12 following complications from a stroke. Dale graduated from Turlock High School in 1948 and attended Modesto Junior College before enlisting in the 82nd Army Airborne Division to serve in the Korean War. Following service he went on to graduate from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He worked for McClellan Airforce Base for 30 years and retired in 1987.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, LaVerne Snider; his daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Kevin Grose of Goleta, Calif.; grandchildren, Jenna, Kaylee, Ian and Brynlee; and his “big sis” Helen Guerrero of San Andreas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Edith Snider; his brother, Donald Snider; and his daughter, Debra Peterson.
A memorial service and reception will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 27 at Adventure Christian Church, 6401 Stanford Ranch Rd., Roseville, Calif.
