Gold Beach, Oregon - Dale Slaybaugh went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on August 23, 2021. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Vickie (Dingler) Slaybaugh, two daughters, Kristine (Jason) Braley of Turlock and Charlene Straughter of Merced along with seven grandchildren. Proceeding him to heaven were his parents Lyle Slaybaugh and Leota Slaybaugh Finnegan. He also leaves behind three brothers and one sister; Vernon Slaybaugh from Idaho, Larry Slaybaugh (Donna) of Ceres, Dennis (Irene) Slaybaugh of Modesto and Anna (Al) Wilkerson of Fletcher, Oklahoma.

Dale grew up in the Turlock area where he attended Chatom and Turlock High School. Later in life he moved to Gold Beach, Oregon where he made many friends.

Dale was gifted with his hands. He was very innovative and could fix anything. He held many professional titles: mechanic, fabricator, certified welder, millwright, as well as being a custom home builder and designer.

Dale was well known for building his hot rods. He also built motorcycles, and go carts, and anything else that he could make “go fast”, which was pretty much anything. If you knew him, you couldn’t help but to love him. He leaves us with many great memories of his keen sense of humor and his compassionate, caring heart. Dale would do anything to help a loved one in need.

The world is not the same without him. He will be forever missed.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” held at Allen’s mortuary in Turlock on October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The family would love for you to come with memories to share.
