Dale Wesley Rose, 81, of Downey passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in La Mirada, CA after a lengthy illness. 

Dale was born in Madera and moved to Turlock at the age of six. He graduated from Turlock High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Following the service he went to work on his parents dairy while attending college. 

He married his wife of almost 58 years Alice Ramos at Hilmar Holy Rosary Church on November 16, 1957.  They relocated to the LA area in 1959 for his work as a government poultry inspector.  Several years later he went to work for the Lynwood Water Department before transferring to Long Beach Water where he retired after 35 years.  

He was a member of St. Raymond’s Parish and belonged to the local Hunting and Fishing club. 

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Glenna Rose, and sister Lola Fransen of Turlock.  Dale is survived by his wife, Alice Rose; daughter, Karen (Kent) Jung; grandchildren, Jonathan and Katy Jung of Downey; brother, Bert Rose of Redwood City; niece, Nancy Buchanan of Los Banos; in addition to many relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28th, starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Turlock Funeral Home Chapel, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, with a recitation of the rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hilmar Holy Rosary Church, 20263 American Ave., Hilmar, interment at Turlock Memorial Park Mausoleum.
