Our wonderful, amazing husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend has finally made it to his party in Heaven Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at 79 years.

Originally from California, Dan moved to Montrose after visiting his daughter in 1982. He loved it here from then on.

Dan “The Upholstery Man” loved the mountains, motorcycles, the Raiders and his farm, but most of all, his family.

Dan is survived by wife, Denise; daughters, Danette Nolen, Amy Black and Heather McKie (Ryan); sons, Jason Atwood (Karyn) and Cameron Atwood (Briget); grandchildren, Eric M. Watts, Tori Atwood, Acacia Sullivan, Coleman Atwood, Karly McKie, Brandon McKie, Taylor Atwood, Dylan Atwood, Tanner Black, Cade Atwood, Jake McKie and Autumn Black; and great-grandchildren Kinsley Sullivan and Silas Atwood.

Celebration of life plans are pending and will be announced.

Celebration of life plans in Turlock, Calif., will also be announced for friends and family there.

You have touched so many lives and you are deeply loved and will be missed greatly.
