A committed and beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt passed peacefully in the early morning hours of her 60th birthday in Mission Springs, CA.
Debbie was born and raised in Hilmar, CA and attended Hilmar Schools where her father, G. Eldon Strom, was Superintendent. After attending Modesto Jr. College, Debbie worked in the medical field in San Luis Obispo and eventually in Turlock at Turlock Medical Clinic. Debbie met her husband Mark in 1979 and they were married in September of 1980, and together they worked as a team in local family businesses that are still operating today. Debbie’s energy, personality and zest for life were key components in building relationships with loyal customers in her business career as well as in her personal friendships. Her greatest joy was raising her son Trevor and daughter Jessica.
Debbie attended Hilmar Covenant Church in her youth where her grandfather Carl was the first English-speaking pastor in the 1930s-1940s. She became a founding member of Cornerstone Covenant Church in Turlock where she faithfully served.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father Eldon Strom and is survived by her husband Mark, children Trevor (Heather) Stevens, daughter Jessica Stevens, mother Beverly (Everett) Strom-Wenstrand and grandchildren Hannah and Tate Stevens. She was a loving sister to Jeff (Cara) Strom and Sandy (Kurt) Rademacher and a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Debbie will be dearly missed by all the people whose lives she touched.
