Delmer G. Lansing

Delmer Graydon Lansing was born March 13, 1933 in Bellingham, Washington to parents, Murl and Alice Lansing. He passed away on May 19, 2021 in Merced, California at the age of 88.

Del served in the US Marine Core Reserves from 1950 to 1952.

He went on to San Jose State College for his BA and MA degrees. He then attended Stanford University where he earned his Doctorate of Education (EDD).

 He taught grades 4-8 in his career. He became Superintendent of San Ardo Elementary (K-8) School District. After a move to Turlock, he was Superintendent, Principal, and Teacher of 4-8 grades of his own private K-8 school, Turlock Education Academy.

He is survived by his wife, Donna and three sons Randy, Robbie, and Ricky. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church located at 2619 N. Berkeley Ave., in Turlock. Services will be officiated by Pastor, Dr. Craig Wright and Pastor Wendy Warner.
