Derek Lloyd Howell, 30, of Turlock, passed away on Sept. 6 in Stevinson.
Derek was born in Turlock to Melvin and Marsha Howell on June 5, 1980. He went to school in Turlock. He was attending Modesto Junior College at the time of his death. He also graduated from Cal-Trade Welding School in Modesto and worked as a welder for several years.
Derek’s great love in life was riding his Harley motorcycle and fishing.
Besides his parents, Melvin and Marsha Howell, he is survived by brothers, Dennis Howell (Heidi), Douglas Howell (Julie); and sisters, Deanne Compton (Derrick) and Debra Rivard (Alain).
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints at the corner of Geer Road and Springer in Turlock. Bishop Robert Reed will be officiating. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
