Turlock

Deward passed away at home due to natural causes.  He was a native of Kentucky, attending schools there. He enlisted in the Air Force during WW II, and afterward moved to California. He became an electrical contractor and owned and operated Sorrell Electric and Hardware for many years. He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Sorrell; step children, Alette Lanchester and David Nervino; and sister, Jackie Thorkelson of Redding.
Deward was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Turlock #395 F&AM, and a Shriner.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.  Burial will be private at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
