Diane Hannah Daniel, age 85, peacefully passed away on August 8, 2022 at Casa de Modesto Retirement Center with Seva Hospice, surrounded by compassionate people who cared for her.
Diane was born on September 9, 1936 in Chicago, IL. Diane was raised in Chicago. She began piano lessons at the age of five and became an independent child, travelling to her music lessons across the city by trains and buses. She attended Senn High School and left home in 1954 to Los Angeles where she earned her degree at the University of Southern California School Of Music. She was proud to be a USC Trojan. Music continued to be part of her life as a music teacher and talented pianist. Nothing made Diane happier than playing on a grand piano surrounded by people who enjoyed singing along. She could hear a song for the first time and play it as if she knew it her entire life. Diane was a resident of Turlock for almost 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Jesse Daniel and Martha Daniel; her brother, Dr. Donald Daniel; her husband, Howard Edgar; and her son, Steven Gogo.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Danielle Gogo-Gallagher; her son-in-law, Jim Gallagher; her granddaughter, Claire Gallagher; her grandson, Tommy Gallagher; her brother, Robert Daniel; and her sister, Judith Divanian (Gordon).
Diane will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park.
