Turlock

Dollie Bergman, 93, of Turlock, passed away at her home. Dollie was born in Bliss, Idaho to Frank and Anna Lisle. After attending school in Idaho she moved to California where she met and married Gus Bergman in 1937. They were married for over 50 years. They have lived and raised their family in the Turlock-Hilmar area. Gus, Dollie and their sons operated the family dairy in Hilmar. Dollie was a member of Berea Lutheran Church in Hilmar. She played violin and keyboards; she loved crafts, painting, embroidery, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed camping and fishing.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband Gus Bergman and sons Arthur and Gail Bergman.  She is survived by her children: Bert (Jennie) Bergman, Ken (Sylvia) Bergman, both of Turlock; and daughters-in-law: Judith Bergman of Turlock and Faye Bergman of Oregon, two brothers Mike and Jim Lisle, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 7 great, great grandchildren.
Services for Dollie will be as follows: Visitation at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, Oct. 20th from 12:00 to 7:00pm; Funeral Service will be held at Berea Lutheran Church, 20019 Bloss Avenue, Hilmar, CA, on Friday, October 21st, 10:00am with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Memorial contributions for Dollie are suggested for Hospice of Emanuel or Berea Lutheran Church. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
