Don Kelly Shackelford, age 66, passed away Monday, February 13th, 2017. He was born in Turlock, CA on June 24rd, 1950, son of Virginia Shackelford, and the late Kelly Shackelford.  He graduated from Turlock High School in 1969. He was a member of the Country Cowboy Church in Sonora, CA. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed off-road vehicles as well. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years including bead and leather work, stained glass, deer hunting, RC Cars, and photography. He also loved to take trips with his wife Nina, family, and friends. He was able to move closer to the Sierra Nevada where he loved to take in the fresh air and ponder the natural beauty.  He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association which allowed him many more travel opportunities with great friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Nina Jaylene Shackelford, son Mark, daughter April (David), 2 grandchildren Caitlin and Chance, his sister Iris, and 19 nieces and nephews.  A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 4th, at 11:00am at the Country Cowboy Church 14888 Peaceful Valley Road in Sonora, CA. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling the arrangements.
