Dorothy Booth, a Turlock resident since 1963, passed away peacefully at Emanuel Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010. 

She was born in Nebraska to the late Thomas and May Sturtevent. She was an elementary school teacher for the Chase County School District in Nebraska for three years. She lived in the Los Angeles area in 1939, then moved to Oakdale in 1953 before she settled to Turlock in 1963. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turlock.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Carrie MacLean, Robert Booth, Crystal Cozine, Jenny Booth and Samantha Booth; eight great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Sheila Booth.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at the First Baptist Church of Turlock with a private graveside at Turlock Memorial Park.
