Douglas “Wayne” Ratliff, of Turlock, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Modesto, CA. He was 67 years old. Wayne was born on February 4, 1951 in Turlock, CA to Earl and Beulah Ratliff. Raised in Turlock for most of his life, he resided in Fort Bragg for a short time before returning to his hometown permanently. Wayne married the love of his life, Nina Gardner Ratliff, in Turlock, CA on June 15, 1972. They were married for 46 years. After high school, he spent two years in the Coast Guard. Following his service, he worked at Rogers Gas Station, Miller Manufacturing, Varco Pruden, GL Precision, Denair Trailer and Pacific Ag Welders. After devoting 16 years as a welder and mechanic, an injury resulted in an early retirement for Wayne. In his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing and working on his 55’ Chevy pickup truck. Wayne also loved going on cruises with his friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, two sons and 3 grandchildren. Per his request, no services will be held.
