Edwina Souza, 88, of Gustine passed away Monday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Mrs. Souza was a native of Providence, RI and a resident of Gustine for 83 years. She was a homemaker for 70 years and a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. She was a Eucharist minister and a member of the Westside Art Association.
Mrs. Souza is survived by her sons, Alfred Souza, Jr. of Gustine and Mike Souza (Dixie) of Turlock; daughters, Dixie Lee Souza (Richard) of Rupert, Idaho, Linda Camboia (Dave) of Gustine, Debra Souza of Gustine and Cherie Souza (Anthony) of Newman; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Souza, Sr. who passed away in 1990.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, followed by a rosary/funeral mass at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
