Mrs. Eleanor G. Vicuna, age 77 of Livingston “Entered into Rest” on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Merced. Mrs. Vicuna was born in Brawley, CA and has lived in Livingston for 59 years. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church of Livingston and very active in the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church Choir and she was a community activist and she always opened her home to those in need and a graduate of Turlock High School. Mrs. Vicuna is survived by: Two Sons – Richard Ramos of Livingston and Jesus Vicuna and his wife Vanessa of Merced; Five Daughters – Sonia Ramos of Los Banos, Nela Holsapple and her husband Rodney of Turlock, Rebecca Ramos of Merced, Sylvia De Burg of Keys and Lydia Gilleran and her husband Ed of Madera; Brother – Andrew Cota and his wife Maria of Turlock; Nineteen Grandchildren and Nineteen Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Vicuna; Mother – Clotilde G. Cota and her boyfriend Max David; Two Sisters – Mary Perales and Clotilde Rendon; Two Brothers – Joe Cota and Raymond Cota.
Services: Visitation – Friday, March 28, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Whitehrust, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main St., Turlock; Combined Rosary and Funeral Mass – Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 330 Fanci St., Livingston. Private Inurnment.
