Elizabeth “Biffy” Annette Mancha, 46, passed away the night of January 9 at the scene of a tragic vehicle hit and run accident, in Turlock, while walking her dog, Dolly, with her partner, David McThorn. David and Dolly were also hit and injured.
Biffy has lived in Turlock since early childhood and graduated from Turlock High School in 1985. After graduating, she attended college and worked part-time. During this time she met her love and life partner, David McThorn, and she enjoyed being a homemaker and mother after the birth of their son, Matthew, in 1990. For the past ten years, Biffy worked in the front office at Kirby Manufacturing, in Merced. She valued her position at Kirby and developed close friendships and company relationships over the years. Biffy was a beautiful, sweet, caring, devoted soul and has left an endearing impression on all who knew her.
Her family and friends have been truly blessed to have her in their lives. She will be loved and dearly missed forever.
Biffy is survived by her life partner, David McThorn, and their son, Matthew McThorn; her father and step mother, David and Patti Mancha; her mother and step-father, Tonya and Al Hunzicker, of Oregon, her half-sister, Alicia Mancha, and family; cousin Tal Morris, and family; and other members of her extended McThorn and Hunzicker families.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at Turlock Funeral Home Reception Hall, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Veterinary Clinic, 310 Crane Ave., Turlock, CA 95380.
