A private burial for Ella Bockrath was held at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park, where she was laid to rest next to her late husband. Ella Bockrath passed away at the Bel Air Lodge in Turlock on June 13.
Ella was born in Rochester, NY in 1917. During World War II she served in the Marines. After marrying Gorge Bockrath, she moved to California. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Roses and worked as a volunteer at the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for over 25 years. Ella loved to work in her yard, travel and was an excellent cook.
Ella is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Tapti Bockrath of New Orleans; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Glen Blackley of Turlock; and granddaughter, Erika of Santa Barbara.
