Longtime Turlock resident, Elsie Jones, passed away on January 20, 2018 from complications of pneumonia. She was born in Selma, California to Frank and Mary Pimentel on December 21,
1927 and moved to Turlock when she married Orley W. Jones in 1948. In December, Elise celebrated her 90th birthday with a large attendance of family and friends at The Farmers Den in Crowslanding. Elsie was multi-talented, holding a two year college degree, pianist, a wonderfully giving wife, mother and friend, cook and hostess. Along with her husband, Orley Jones, they owned and operated Jones Lumber, Jones Lumber and Saddlery, Turlock Saddlery and Jones Frontier Shop in the Turlock and Modesto area for many years. Orley passed away in 2010 and Elsie leaves their four children, Merlin (Miriam) Jones of Greeley Hill, CA, Sandra (Bill-deceased) Beck of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Richard (Tammy) Jones of Turlock and Kelly (Ella)
Jones of Grand Coulee, WA, four grandchildren, Robin (Todd) Hanson), Tevin (Shelby), Anthony and Katya and three great grandchildren, Oliver, Mabel and Avett Hanson. The family is having
