It was there that she met her husband, Charles J.Kelley (Head Chef) and they were married in 1956 and moved to New Hampshire where the first two of their seven children were born, Mary Evelyn and Charles Joseph. Work was scarce so they relocated back to Illinois where  Lisa Ann, Timothy John, David Matthew and Stephannie Diane were born. Another move was in store for them, this time to California in 1967 to Thornton where she served as President of the PTA and a Campfire leader where she enjoyed taking her troops to the Hershey’s Chocolate factory in Oakdale. After experiencing several floods in Thornton  they were off to Sonora  where Scott Alan was born in 1971.  There she worked as a waitress at the Manor House and also attended Columbia College.
They relocated to Turlock in 1976 where she went to work as a waitress for Latif’s restaurant where she remained for 12 years. She was a member of the Newcomers Club and enjoyed bowling at Divine Gardens. Evelyn and Charles divorced in 1981 and during this time she achieved her Real Estate License and worked part time for Arbor Realty and remained full time at Latif’s where she met Ivan Jurevich the love of her life and moved to Patterson where she remained until her passing. Eve also worked during this time as a dietary aide in Napa until she retired in 1998. She would not stay fully retired as she donated her time to AARP during tax season.
Eve enjoyed writing poetry, playing the piano, knitting and crocheting and assembling puzzles in record time, often times in one day and playing games on her computer. Eve will be remembered for her honesty, integrity and genuine kindness for others.
Eve’s daughters Lisa and Stephannie would like to thank the Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson for their kindness as well as a special thank you to the Jurevich family for their support and compassion on the loss of our Mother. There will be no funeral arrangements, instead the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choice.

A poem by Eve Kelley

“If your world seems crowded and your view  is not so good,
Just move around and make new friends, Share life, love and food,
Give your life some playtime, Work is fine, that’s true,
But the little child within us, Needs to come out too. Enjoy Life"
