Gary Ralph Vollrath, 86, passed into Heaven on May 14, 2023. 

Gary was born the oldest of two sons to Valerie and Ralph Vollrath in Turlock, CA, on April 3, 1937. 

He attended Turlock schools, then entered the US Army as a military police officer. 

After military service, he earned his certification in electronic engineering and worked as a Computer Engineer at IBM for over 40 years. 

Gary had a love for the outdoors, backpacking, skiing, woodworking, and a passion for helping others. He always had a joke to tell and kindness to share.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Vollrath; brother, Dale (Mary Ann); two children fromhis first marriage, Russell (Ruby) and Lorna Padley (Lindsey); four grandchildren, Drew and Tianna Vollrath, Ashton and Gavin Padley; and step-grandchild, Paula; two stepchildren, Jeff and Julie Grant; and step-grandchild, Cole Grant.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held on June 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA 95380.
