Gary Richard Swanson, 63, passed away, Sept. 3, 2010 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. He was born and raised in Turlock, the son of the late Carl and Bessie (Taylor) Swanson.
Gary graduated from Turlock High School in 1966. He worked for Silliker Inc. as courier for five years. He attended the Calvary Assembly of God in Hilmar and enjoyed going to gospel concerts.
Gary leaves his wife of 35 years, Sandra Swanson; his brothers, John “Ray” and Robert Swanson, both of Denair; and his sister, Carlene Prewitt of Denair.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, also at Allen Mortuary with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
