Geneva Arleda Ahlberg, a resident of Turlock California, was born on March 4 1931 in Albert City, Iowa,and died on March 14, 2023 in Turlock California. 

She was the youngest of 6 children, raised on a farm in Iowa, and later attended North Park College in Chicago.

She met Del Ahlberg, in Turlock, married on July 26, 1956 and raised her family here. 

She worked as bookkeeper and office manager in Turlock until her retirement in the 1990s from Nordic Saw and Tool. 

She and Del and a group of friends founded the Skandi-Fest in town, celebrating the area’s Scandinavian Heritage. 

Geneva loved collecting recipes and baking. Her pecan cheesecake pie will always be served at the holiday table. 

She loved to paint and sew, loved cats, and cats were very fond of her. 

She played Sudoku, and the crossword puzzle in the paper.

She read the Bible daily. She attended Beulah Covenant Church in Turlock (now Hope Church of Turlock).

She was preceded in death by son, John Kevin Ahlberg. Survived by her husband Del Ahlberg, her sons Dan and Scott, daughters-in-law Lorna and Janie and leaves behind 4 adult grandchildren.
