Georgia Helen Passwaters left with the angels of light and was greeted by those who preceded her, now all are in the hands of the Lord. A little bit of her is in the spark of life in all of us.
Born in Oregon, raised in Turlock and a graduated Turlock High, she passed away peacefully at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She will be remembered for her size 22 inch waist while square dancing, cooking, crochet, craft work and her love of winning at bingo during church events. She was active in American Legion Auxiliary Rex Ish Post No. 88 as past president of the Ladies Auxiliary and with Kenneth during many activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia and Eddie Jackson; brothers, Donald and Glen Jackson; and husband, Kenneth Passwaters.
Helen is survived by children, Diane Kirby of Neveda, Darlene Turner and Daryl Kumaus of Greeley Hill, Calif.; stepchildren, Linda Goldsberry of Fresno, Gary Passwaters of Atwater and Judy Mollica of Manteca; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and lots of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Emanuel, 825 Delbon Ave., Turlock, CA 95382-2016.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 17 at Allen Mortuary, with burial to follow at Winton Cemetery.
