Gladys (Hillberg) Linér

Gladys (Hillberg) Linér was born in Marysville, California, June 5, 1913.  Her family moved to Turlock in 1917 settling in the “Youngstown Colony” area on Golf Road.

She completed her elementary school years at Johnson Joint School in that area, later graduating from Turlock High School in 1931.

She graduated from the Emanuel Hospital  School of Nursing in 1936 as a Registered Nurse (RN).

She was married to Cliff Liner at the “Beulah” Covenant Church in Turlock in 1938.  They lived in a number of California cities as well as 10 years in Denver, Colorado and a short time in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was Head Nurse of the Pediatrics Department of the San Mateo Medical Clinic for 16 years.  Upon retirement, they moved to their mountain home at Mission Springs in Scotts Valley, California where they lived for 13 years.  They moved to Covenant Village of Turlock, California in May 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Linér, in 1997. 

Survivors include her son Ren and wife Carolyn Linér of San Marcos, Texas and son Rod with wife Patty Linér of San Carlos, California.  Also surviving are four grandchildren and five great grandsons.

She passed through  death to eternal life on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Covenant Living, in Turlock, California, at age 108.

She asked that Memorial contributions be made to the Gladys Hillberg Liner Memorial Fund at Mission Springs Christian Conference Center and Camps, 1050 Lockhart Gulch Rd., Scotts Valley, CA 95066.
