Gregory Allen Van Dyke was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Modesto. He joined the Lord on Nov. 23, after a long battle with leukemia.
Greg attended Beyer High School in Modesto and was employed as a service technician for Sears for 28 years. Greg loved his family, friends, helping others, hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, David (Melissa) of Tennessee; daughters, Serena of Oakdale, Carrissa of Riverbank and Deanna Mancebo of Riverbank; grandchildren, Haley, Gabriel, Gregory, Samuel, Debbie and Etta; sisters, Earlene (Steve) Schmidt of Oakdale and Judy (Rick) Ferguson of Modesto; several nieces and nephews; and his “brothers from other mothers.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Betty Van Dyke.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. A graveside service will be held on Dec. 2 at Burwood Cemetery on River Road in Escalon. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
