Hal F. Murphy passed away after a long illness on April 15, 2023 in Great Falls, Montana.

Hal was born June 10, 1952 in Modesto, California to parents of Edward and Edna McMurphy. He grew up in Turlock, California, graduating from Turlock High School in 1970. He worked for the City Of Turlock and the City of Modesto as a housing rehabilitation inspector.

Hal is survived by loving wife of 16 years Karen, sisters Diane (Nolan) Miles, Mary Lou (Bill) Hicox, Carol (Jim) Vierra, his brother Edward Murphy Jr. and numerous cousins.

Hal truly never met a stranger, his memory will live on through the many stories he told. A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
