Helen Lois Hartman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the age of 85. 

She was born and raised in Denair, California on November 6, 1929 to parents Jacob and Emma Doerksen and had three siblings. Helen graduated from Hughson Union High School and was a bookkeeper for 35 years. 

Helen married the love of her life, Fred Hartman on March 1, 1949 at Hughson Baptist Church. 

She was a great gardener and an A’s baseball fan.  

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hartman,  siblings Harold Doerksen and Grace Woodward and child Jeffery Hartman. 

She is survived by her sister Barbara Kerr, children Linda (Ronald) Wayman, Wilda (Jim) Yardy, Brenda (Steve) Hunter, Dennis (Bonnie) Hartman. Helen had 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Turlock Free Methodist Church on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM. 

Helen will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Park with a private burial.
