Hilda was born in Tartu, Estonia to August and Alviine Silm and passed away at that age of 96 in Modesto.  She will be remembered as a courageous Estonian woman who was also a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Ene Turner, Tiina Johnson, Annie (Randy) Hibdon and Tiiu (Ron) Johnson; grandchildren, Arthur, Steve, Tina, Tim, Karin, Erik, Hannah, Lukas and Kris; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Hilda was preceded in death by her husband Artur Tiido and son, Kalev Tiido.
