Imogene B. Gross, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Castro Valley on July 31.  She was the fifth child born to John and Myrtle Basden on March 23, 1927 in West Liberty, Haskel County, Okla. Mrs. Gross attended Livingston High School. After moving to Richmond, she worked at a gas station and also worked on World War II airplane parts at Point Richmond.  She married Wendell Davis in 1948 and had three children: John Davis, Beverly Blair, and Debra Harrison.  In 1960 she married Bruce Gross.  She worked at National Welding in Richmond for many years until she became ill with cancer three times. She survived cancer all three times. She continued a normal and full life, and she enjoyed her grandchildren and family for the remainder of her life.
 She is survived by sisters, Yvonne Neal of Delhi and Geraldine Morton of Fresno.
All family and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6 at Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
