Irene Blaylock, 96, of Turlock, passed away on Saturday at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. She was born in Mansfield, Mo. to Thomas and Gertrude Holland in 1913. She lived most of her life in Turlock. Irene worked as a USDA inspector for around 25 years, traveling throughout Central California. She was honored to be the second lady to be a USDA inspector. Irene was a member of Bethel Temple for many years and later a member of Northside Assembly of God. She also was a member of TOPS. She enjoyed traveling in her motor home and exercising at the Senior Citizens Center. Irene was very gifted in music and painting.
Irene is survived by her children, Bob (Mary) Moore of Denair, Carleta (Jack) Ballantyne of Modesto, Karen (Don) Moss of Lake Don Pedro, Margaret Parker and Jeriel Blaylock, both of Hughson, James Blaylock of Springdale, Ark., Sharon Mitchell of Gentry, Ark., and Mary Cooper of Alexandria, Va..; son-in-law, Angelo Hillas of Modesto; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Moore (1968) and Greer Blaylock (2004); children, Thomas Moore and Melva Hillas; and siblings, Gaylord Holland, Docia Tedder, Margie Rigdon and John Holland.
 Irene will be truly missed.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 at Northside Assembly of God with burial following at Turlock Memorial Park.
