James (Jim) A. Whitaker, Jr., lifelong resident of Turlock, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, surrounded by his children. He was 72 years old and born in Turlock to Jim and Alfreida Whitaker on November 13, 1944.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorelei Whitaker (2008), and his parents James and Alfreida Whitaker. He is survived by his daughter, April Mott and her husband Gary, of Willington, CT, and his son Ron Whitaker, of Turlock; Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Amanda, Victoria, Melessa, Bethany, and Rebecca Mott, of Willington, Ct , and Shelby Steeley and Eric Whitaker of Denair; Sisters Karen Adams of Idaho, Maureen Lambert of Modesto, and Linda Hudson of Modesto. Jim enjoyed fixing and repairing things and was always busy working. He retired from TID. In his free time he also enjoyed fishing and camping with his wife.

Services- Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 27, 2017 at Whitehurst-Norton –Dias funeral Service, 26 W. Main St., Turlock, California.
