James (Jim) Lynn Booth, age 76, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 6, 2015 while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with his family.
Born October 22, 1938 in Modesto, California to Lloyd and Edith Booth, Jim lived in Turlock, Ca for the vast majority of his life. He spent the last 20 years working as one of the premier real estate agents in the Central Valley, specializing in residential, commercial and agriculture sales. In 2001, Jim was honored as the Realtor of the Year for the Central Valley Association of Realtors. Not only was Jim a successful businessman, he was also heavily involved in the community, constantly dedicating his time and efforts to charitable organizations. In addition to holding an Honorary Life Membership with the Turlock Chamber of Commerce and membership in the Turlock Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee, he was on the Board of Directors for both the Stanislaus County Fair Board and CSUS Arrowhead Board.
He leaves his beloved wife of forty-three years, Peggy; his sons Steve and Chuck Mazzola; and his daughter Karen Mazzola. He also leaves his grandsons DJ, Bryan, Ryan, Bradley, Colton and Jake along with his granddaughter Ashley; and three great grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and an entire community of friends.
Per Jim and Peggy’s request there will not be a memorial service. Family and friends will be notified of a celebration of Jim’s life once arrangements are made. At this time memorial gifts in Jim’s memory are discouraged as the family is in the process of setting up a scholarship in Jim’s name to reflect his love and dedication for the community.
