James Ollivierre, 91, of Turlock, passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness. James was born in New Bedford, MA to George and Adelaide Ollivierre. He grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from High School, VoTech Trade School and Univ. of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering. He married the love of his life, Harriett Carter, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. They moved to New Hampshire where they raised their family. James served in the Army Air Corp in World War II in Burma. He loved electronics and he could fix or build just about anything electronic. He had a brilliant mind and he loved to read. He moved with his wife to California in 2013 to be closer to their children.

James was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Herbert and Ursel. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriet Ollivierre; his son Tim (Ruby) Ollivierre of Turlock; brother Parker of Boston, MA, sister Rowena of New Bedford, MA, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 7 great, great grandchildren. 

A Public Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, Nov. 10th from 3 to 6 pm. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 3 pm, at Turlock Believers’ Church, 2851 Geer Road, Turlock, CA. Burial with military honors will be held at a National Cemetery in Massachusetts at a later date. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
