Janie Johnson of Turlock, California, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the age of 85 with her family by her side. She was born on August 5, 1935 to the late Juann and Eprim Betkhouda in Tehran, Iran. She was previously married in 1958 to Paul Clayton Johnson of Arcadia, Florida.
Janie was a fiercely independent person and an extremely hard worker well into her senior years. She was an artist and displayed her talent through decorating cakes for her customers over 35 years. Janie enjoyed making them happy by creating artistically designed and delicious cakes.
Janie’s greatest accomplishment was her family whom she raised almost single-handedly. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchild are truly grateful for the sacrifices she made throughout her life to ensure they succeeded in theirs.
She is survived by her son, Richard Paul Johnson, and his wife, Tracy, of Mount Crested Butte, Colorado as well as daughter, Betty Ann De Caro, and her husband, Mike, of Tracy, California. She had 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on August 13th, 2020 at 2:00 pm
