Turlock

Jimmy Thomas, 68, of Turlock passed away on Friday, July 29 at Emanuel Medical Center. He was born in Modesto, CA to J.B and Othal Thomas in 1943. Jim was raised in Hughson, and after high school, he served in the Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator for Operator Engineering Unions #3 and #302. Jim was a member of the Turlock Masonic Lodge #395. In his retirement, he traveled the world living it Jim’s way! He loved fishing, traveling and living life to the fullest.

Jim is survived by his children Jimmie "Hugo" (Julie) Thomas of Denair and Denise "Sissy" Huffman of Carmichael, CA; siblings Betty (Dale) Jost of Lodi, Judy (Tony) Castro of Hughson, and John Stark of Hughson; grandchildren Margaret (Brandon) Rodriguez of Turlock, Jeremy (Ashley) Hall of Denair and Nathan Huffman of Carmichael, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.. He is preceded in death by his brother Coy Stark.

A visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on August 7 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Denair Cemetery on August 8 at 10:00 am.
