John V. Lawrence, 85 of Hilmar, died May 31 in Turlock. Services have been held. Burial was at North Hilmar Cemetery.
He was a dairyman for 25 years and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hilmar. He was a past president of Stevinson Pentecost in 1982, Casa of the Azores and P.F.S.A. Fraternal Council 26 of Stevinson.
He is survived by his sons, John M. Lawrence of Hilmar, Tony Lawrence and his wife, Jeniffer, of Ceres and Joe Lawrence of Long Beach; and grandchildren, Stephanie and Anthony.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria L. Lawrence in 1997; brothers, Joe Lawrence and Antonio Lawrence; and sister, Maria Alvares.
