Jorge Jacome, 88, of Delhi passed in Modesto on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Doctor’s Hospital. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Baltazar Jacome and Rose Flores Sanchez in 1921. Jorge lived in Mexico until the age of 21, when he moved to Chicago. In 1943, Jorge moved to San Jose and in 1992, settled in Delhi. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
Jorge was an artist. He has a painting in a museum in Mexico City, and he also was a commercial artist in San Francisco. Jorge enjoyed reading but
most of all, God and family were his life.
Jorge is survived by his children, Georgina Valladores, Rose Espinosa, Mary Ellen Berrios, Esther Melero, Robert Jacome, Teresa Montiel and Michael
Jacome; siblings, Julieta Jacome, Josephina Muier, Judith Jimenez de Torres, Julio Jacome, Juan Jacome, Georgeina Jacome and Baltazer Jacome; 25 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23 at Calvary Cemetery in San Jose, Calif.
